Internships

Body

Interns have a substantial relationship with the Women’s Resources Center. Interns commit to 5-8 hours (minimum) of work a week, to attend weekly intern meetings, and participate in professional development opportunities.

The WRC offers two different types of internships to students looking to students looking for opportunities to be heavily involved with project planning and execution, strengthen their leadership skills, and develop a body of work across the semester.

  • Course-credit internships are typically one-semester and open exclusively to students enrolled in a credit-based internship course.
  • Advanced Practice internships are year-long opportunities and are open to students of any major.  Some internships may have additional experience pre-requisites (such as successful completion of the HK 112 course or prior experience as a FYCARE facilitator.)

Additional information on all internship opportunities is below. Students of ALL identities are welcome and encouraged to apply. No previous experience required. General questions about the WRC Internship program should be directed to Amie Baumeister at baumstr2@illinois.edu.
